Yocto images and a CVE release practice

We treat the image as a product artifact: layers you can name, a rebuild you can repeat, and CVE work that belongs on the release calendar.

The first Yocto image on a new board is rarely the problem. The problem is the image nobody can rebuild, and the CVE that arrives after the original engineer has moved on.

This offer is the software side of that image: the layer map, the kernel and userspace you actually ship, and a practice for taking a CVE from a tracker to a patched build you can test. The principal has run this class of work for a robotics company, including kernel CVE patching on a sprint and release cadence. That program is his prior work.

We do not sell a Linux distribution. We do not take a bare board and turn it into a hardware platform. You own the target. We work on the image that runs there.
